New for the iPhone, App Engine Manager

Following on from my previous iPhone applications, Cloud Status and AWS Calc, and continuing with the Cloud Computing theme. I'd like to announce the release of my next iPhone application onto the App Store.

App Engine Manager for the iPhone 3G and iPod touch.

Want to manage your Google App Engine applications from your iPhone? There's an app for that...

The App Engine Manger application allows you to to monitor the status of Google App Engine in real time, estimate your monthly costs based on your current usage levels, then lets you estimate how much a sudden usage spike could cost.

It also allows you to look at the performance of each of your applications individually and examine requests per second, upload and download bandwidth and CPU.

  1. great idea, however the app does not allow me to authenticate myself (username and password are correct but somehow it remains not authenticated - any suggestions?), and if it does not see a network at first it does not refresh (nor can i press a button to refresh and scan for network status - something which would be nice to have as now i have to close and open the app again to get connection to the network).

  2. Norvo, the only thing I can think of that might cause this is that the Google ID you're using isn't signed up for App Engine already?

Authentication has been tested with both standard Google and Google Apps addresses and it works okay.

  3. Oh, the network issue will get fixed in the next release. Known problem. Sorry about that one.
