A day of Google searches...

An paper by Rob Pike, Sean Dorward, Robert Griesemer and Sean Quinlan of Google is starting to make the rounds on the net (via Inside Google and Information Aesthetics). The paper is all about how to analyse large distributed datasets, which might not interesting enough in itself to get people talking about it, however it comes with some interesting eye candy... animated image of the distribution of Google search queries over time, during the course of a day. Cool, huh?
